Adelle Sium

Engagement Coordinator

I am a first generation Eritrean Canadian with a B.A. in Political Science and am obsessed with youth civic engagement. My last role was with Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue and was the lead coordinator for the Doubling Down on dialogue and democracy webinar series. I also curated the #Elxn44 Youth Leaders Forum to have an open dialogue on youth electoral issues with partisan young leaders with the support of Youthful Cities and City News.

Favourite city: Toronto. Its a city that feels alive, stimulating and celebrates diversity in really powerful ways. Also I’m a fan of Drake.

My Urban Attribute: Excitement. Life is short! My extroverted personality thrives in spontaneity and controlled chaos!

Guilty pleasure: Oreos dipped in peanut butter. (Parent Trap reference anyone??)

My role at YouthfulCities: I’m an engagement coordinator with Youthful Cities. My job is to foster  relationships with youth serving organizations and coordinate engagement opportunities within our Open Up Data Hub community.
